Police Information Appeal - Rogue Traders and Theft - Ferndown

Dorset Police are appealing for information following an incident involving suspected rogue traders in St Georges Drive, Ferndown, at approximately 1:37pm on 25 September 2026.

It was reported that two males, purporting to be tree surgeons, approached a resident and persuaded them to have some work carried out. During the interaction, a sum of cash was allegedly snatched from the victim's hand. The two males then fled to a vehicle and drove away from the area.

We are asking residents to remain vigilant when dealing with unexpected callers offering services at the door. If you are approached by cold callers, always take time to verify who they are, obtain written quotes, and never feel pressured into agreeing to work or handing over money.
